Role description

THI Investments is a multi-generation, single-family office with assets under management of € 2.0bn. As a Private Equity investor, we invest into European (lower) mid-market companies with great management teams and sustainable long-term growth prospects in the sectors Business Services, Education & Training, Healthcare and Industrials. We are active investors with significant experience in building successful businesses internationally, enabling us to add value to existing leadership teams and companies. Our mission is to support our partners in executing their goals and move their companies from good to great.

Next to Private Equity, THI invests into Real Estate and a broad Capital Markets portfolio. Our international team consists of more than 20 professionals in Stuttgart and London.

We offer you the opportunity to gain extensive experience in the Value Creation Team as an intern in our Stuttgart office and to become part of our dynamic, international and experienced team for a period of at least 3 months.

Your role

As part of an internship at THI, you will be involved in the following tasks:

  • Research and analyses of markets, industries and companies
  • Supporting analyses of potential acquisitions as well as preparation of investment decisions
  • Participation in the strategy development of our portfolio companies
  • Supporting our portfolio companies in the implementation of value enhancement initiatives
  • Collaboration in data analyses and preparation of financial models 
  • Preparation of potential portfolio exits

Your profile

  • Business, technical or scientific studies with at least 4 semesters of experience at a renowned university
  • Strong academic record
  • Initial professional experience in private equity, investment banking, strategy consulting, transaction consulting or corporate development
  • Knowledge of balance sheet, P&L and cash flow analysis, company valuation and modeling
  • Interest in investment hypotheses, business models and transformation processes
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail, as well as a hands-on mentality
  • High level of commitment, initiative, sense of responsibility and ability to work in a team
  • Highly proficient written and verbal communication in English and German
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, databases and creating presentations
